Locker room pranks—long a staple in the world of athletics—have taken new form over the past few years, ranging from the serious to the outrageous. Like anything else, they can go over well or horribly wrong (like when Kenyon Martin got a Range Rover filled with buttered popcorn as an April Fools’ joke and threatened to “put hands on” the culprit and sit out the playoffs).

At this point, one may think Washington Redskins quarterback Donovan McNabb is too old or well-respected to have a prank played on him, even if he is on a new team. Heck, Brett Favre signed with the Jets after announcing his retirement and leaving the Packers, and he’s the one who, in true good ol’ boy fashion, put an animal carcass in then-teammate Eric Barton’s locker, complete with the blood and guts. So one can just imagine the surprise McNabb felt when this happened:

This certainly isn’t the most elaborate or outrageous of pranks (we think the kid should’ve jumped into his arms), but with so much news in pro sports having to do with oversized egos, club incidents, drugs, and violence, we’re glad to see teammates enjoy some old-fashioned camaraderie for a change.

Maybe the ‘Skins should egg Albert Haynesworth‘s house next to match the egg he has on his face?
