Celebrity Weddings 2010: Who Was The Best Dressed?

Submitted by on August 9, 2010 – 5:40 pm4 Comments

We’re counting it down to the best dressed couple from the top five celebrity weddings of this year—check it out:

5. T.I. and Tiny

Almost 10 years and three kids later, T.I. and Tiny finally tied the knot on July 30th in Miami. The official wedding photos have not been released (yet), but you can catch a glimpse of what they wore in these blurry shots.

Tiny’s dress received mixed reviews from gossip and fashion sites with it’s never ending ruffles. It kind of reminds me of the wedding dress you would find on a knock-off Barbie doll. Not sure how I feel about the bright lavender flowers either…

We can’t see much of T.I.’s ensemble, but I find it interesting that he wore those thick-rimmed glasses on his big day.

4. Carmelo Anthony and La La Vasquez

After almost eight years together, Carmelo Anthony and La La Vasquez were married at the Cipriani restaurant in midtown, NYC.

La La looked elegant in her strapless Vera Wang gown, while Carmelo took the flashy (and slightly tacky) approach in his look, rocking a shiny textured tux by Waraire Boswell. They chose a rich red theme in La La’s bouquet and Carmelo’s boutonniere.

3. Brian Austin Green and Megan Fox

Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green are another couple who had a lengthy on-and-off five-year relationship before getting hitched. They got married in Hawaii on June 24, with Brian’s son Kassius (whose mother is Brian’s ex-girlfriend, Vanessa Marcil) as the only witness.

The bride wore a simple yet elegant Armani Prive silk dress, with a 16-foot train, while the groom wore an all-white Emporio Armani ensemble fit for the intimate beach-side wedding.

Between the looks, the scenery and the intimacy, this wedding befits the natural environment—a truly beautiful event.

2. Marc Mezvinsky and Chelsea Clinton

Chelsea Clinton and longtime boyfriend (four years to be exact) Marc Mezvinsky, had perhaps thee most talked-about wedding of the year.

The high profile affair took place in Astor Court on July 31st, and broke a record for being the most expensive wedding in history—over $5 million dollars went into it.

Chelsea was dressed in a stunning Vera Wang dress, on which the laser-cut swirling silk organza skirt resembled a beautiful bouquet of roses. On her waist, she wore a jewel-encrusted belt, also by Vera Wang.

Marc wore a custom wool-mohair mix peak-lapel tuxedo by Burberry, who also designed his shirt, tie, and shoes.

A classic, luxurious wedding if there ever was one.

1. Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys

Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz had their wedding “shot-gun” style, with Alicia expecting a child in only a few months. The couple, who’ve been dating for about two years, exchanged their vows in a lavish ceremony on the Mediterranean Sea on July 31st.

Once again, the bride chose Vera Wang. Alicia wore a one-shoulder goddess gown while Swizz rocked a dapper Tom Ford tux and oversize bow tie. Her headpiece, originally a 60 carat diamond necklace, was reworked by Jacob the Jeweler into a halo. Well, this little innovation worked, and we’re feeling all of the modern spins this musical couple put on their wedding looks.
