This isn’t the first sneaker collaboration merry-go-round for Amsterdam’s own Piet Parra Janssen. He’s worked with Nike, Converse, and Vans, and now returns to Converse for a special product (RED) collaborative piece. These tan, sueded beauties feature an all-over print of Parra’s iconic cherry figure, coupled with a red interior, making use of the literal sense of product (RED). As with most of Parra’s sneaker-based work, the hype for these long precedes their release thus making them extremely difficult to acquire. We saw it earlier this year with the Parra x Nike Air Max 1 causing a near riot at Nike’s 21 Mercer Street. These are due out soon, so check in with your local Converse dealer and see what the deal is.
