Kanye West To Perform At This Year’s MTV VMAs
Apparently, all is well again in the relationship between MTV and Kanye West. According to Us Magazine, a year after the Taylor Swift Video Music Awards debacle, the temperamental hip-hop star will take to the stage as a performer at this year’s VMAs, which airs next month. During last year’s show, Kanye incurred the wrath of both country music and hip-hop fans when he bum rushed the stage during Swift’s acceptance speech for “Best Female Video” to heap praise on Beyoncé Knowles and her “Single Ladies” video (also a“Best Female Video” nominee). Since then, the “Power” rapper has kept a fairly low profile.
In related news, according to Page Six, Kanye pleasantly surprised the crowd during a recent John Forte show at Manhattan’s uber-exclusive Soho House when he joined the former Fugees affiliate onstage for a ballad, and then left everyone holding their stomachs in laughter when he announced, “I’m gonna let you finish…” Hilarious, that’s classic stuff.

I think an independent group like Travis Porter deserves an award this year. Let’s just hope Kanye doesn’t act an ass…like we know he will.
