Unfortunately, the difficult thing here is that if they DON'T agree to an 18-game season, that could force a lockout. So basically, we'll either see NO football next season...or more football than we've ever seen before. Pretty crazy. All good points. Love it as a fan. As a football player, and human being being concerned for other human beings, its a bad idea for the athletes and long term effects of the game. We already see that no team can have just 1 stud RB anymore. Players playing every game is rare. What I like about College football is that they play so much harder, 1 lost can really keep a team from the National Champ game. Thats not the case in the NFL now. With 18 games, a lost would carry even less weight. Bad move NFL, stop being so greedy thats one of the biggest faults of America as a nation today. 18 Game season. Love it as a fan.
