Since being released from jail, Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane has been going hard at reclaiming one of the top spots in the game and working non-stop. He’s released countless viral videos and has been in the studio recording. Since his release he’s actually dropped a few mixtapes (Mr. Zone 6, Jewelry Selection) while working on his upcoming album, The Appeal. This week I was fortunate enough to get a listen to Gucci Mane’s new album, and one thing is apparent: Radric is growing musically and expanding his sound. From collaborations with Ray J, Nicki Minaj and Pharrell, to working with producer Swizz Beatz, Gucci’s definitely making more radio friendly songs, as well as R&B-type hip-hop songs. He doesn’t give up on his original swag, as songs with Drumma Boy and Zaytoven give that classic Gucci sound fans have grown to know and love. Be sure to keep an eye on Gucci Mane—he’s definitely not slowing down.
