Smarten Up T.I., You’re Not Above The Law
By now, everyone has heard about T.I. and Tiny getting busted for alleged possession of drugs. Rappers getting caught with drugs isn’t anything new. However, the fact that T.I. has so much going for him since his release from prison makes the situation quite the eye opener.
The fact that T.I. was just released from prison in March would lead you to believe the southern rapper was well aware he’d be walking on eggshells with the law. But for all the good game Tip gives us, he ended up demonstrating a ridiculous amount of carelessness regarding his current situation. It makes you wonder if Tip thinks he is above the law.
Everyone’s had a friend who’s got a bit of recklessness in them, regardless of the situation. They’ll steal things just for the sake of stealing, cheat on their spouse with his/her best friend or tell a fib when they know they’ve been caught red handed. Some people just don’t get it and, apparently, T.I. is one of those people. It’s easy to chalk this one up to a little bit of bad judgment, but when you just got busted for keeping the army’s entire arsenal in your bedroom, the term “bad judgment” flies directly out the window. For whatever reason, T.I. decided to make an illegal U-turn while driving with marijuana, allegedly ecstasy and syrup. We don’t know why Tip couldn’t wait until he got home to roll a blunt, pop a pill or whatever it is that tickles his fancy. But you’ve got to wonder what in the hell Tameka “Tiny” Cottle (or Harris) was thinking when all of this went down.
Perhaps the drugs in the car belong to Tiny. If so, she should be smarter than T.I. in this situation to protect the best interests of the family. There are kids at home that need their father and seeing both T.I. and Tiny’s faces plastered all over the Internet for drug possession isn’t the best way the kids should see their parents. Both T.I. and Tiny have let us into their lives via their reality shows, talk show appearances and various other methods and we’ve been led to believe that both are relatively intelligent individuals. They both need to be more careful.
This isn’t a dis, it’s a wake up call. Nobody wants to see T.I. locked up again. That family has to be aware they are targets and anything they do will be scrutinized by the media. Hopefully, they’ll get it together sooner than later.

I don’t think he could of spent a whole year in prison and come out with the notion that he’s above the law, if anything it humbled him. What probably happend is he got used to the outside world again and probably lost touched with the values he had coming out of prison. What makes this really bad is he was supposed to be a changed dude and even a romodel(road to redemption MTV).
I just wish he would keep the promise he made in the song “Bring ‘Em Out.” He said he would
“keep a cool head
stay out of the news head-
lines and show these other rappers it’s bedtime.”
I’d like to see him live up to those lyrics instead of “if I get caught wit it, f*** it, I’m doin’ my lil’ bid.”
We need less T.I.P. and more Rashad Swann from ATL.
