Is A Rikers Island Captain Giving Lil Wayne Special Treatment?
Another employee at Rikers Island has come under fire for allegedly giving Lil Wayne preferential treatment behind bars. According to the New York Post, Captain Latanya Brown is accused of spending time with Wayne and giving the hip-hop star special privileges, including permitting him to hang out in his cell when other inmates were made to go out into the recreation yard. Brown has already been questioned about the claims and an investigation into the allegations has been initiated by authorities at the New York City Department of Correction.
Earlier this year, a former Rikers Island guard claimed she was fired after being falsely accused of trying to sneak a peek at the Young Money CEO where he was being held in th prison. Wayne is scheduled for release on November 5 after serving 8 months behind bars because of a weapons possession charge. In the meantime, let’s hope he doesn’t make one of those prison groupies his newest baby mama.
