Lil Kim & Nicki Minaj Keep The Peace For ATL Gay Pride
These two feuding femcees may not be able to see wig-to-wig, but they definitely tossed all the shade out the window for Labor Day weekend in Atlanta. A few months ago, Lil Kim threw shots at the new girl, claiming Nicki Minaj is disrespectful, needs to pay homage, and is lying about her age—Nicki has yet to respond. As ugly as that foolishness got, the ladies still managed to smash a few clubs in the same city and keep things drama free for ATL’s Gay Black Pride.
Kim hit up club Vita to show love to her hardcore gay male fans and then The Velvet Room to party with her lovely lesbians, along with Christina Milian, B. Scott, and Kodak Boi of KiddUNot.com. Later in the weekend Kim switched lacefronts and was back at The Velvet Room, sipping champagne and grooving with Chris Brown, T.I. & Tiny, Kenyon Martin (Trina’s ex and Kelly Rowland’s alleged next), and Lil’ B (For The Love of Ray J), for a non-pride party.
Meanwhile the Young Money diva, Nicki Minaj, strapped on her plum-colored wig and made four appearances in ATL this weekend including the Georgia Freight Depot and club Traxx for Gay Pride. Her “Barbies” came storming the venues like wildebeest over Mufasa’s ass. The rapper tweeted, “Really didn’t know Atl Gay Pride was gonna be that epic…Still in shock.” Seems like Nicki’s not lying in those rhymes she spits because, according to promoters, she doesn’t step in the venue for less than $50,000—her money must be tall indeed.
It’s nice to know nobody is flooding the Web with reports of more drama between these ladies—it seems both had a great time this weekend. Maybe the gay community filled the air with happy spirits…or maybe they realized that they’re both better off shutting up and leaving one another the hell alone.
