Chris Brown’s Mom’s Twitter Faux Pas
Chris Brown’s mom Joyce Hawkins incurred the wrath of Michael Jackson fans everywhere when she insinuated her son was the second coming of the King of Pop. Via a post on her Twitter page, the loyal-to-a-fault mom said:
Blank stare. What in the “Dirty Diana?” Anyway, feeling the heat of the instantaneous backlash from MJ’s fans, Hawkins quickly deleted the Tweet and apologized, saying:
“This tweet was a spiritual tweet!! No way was this meant to say Chris would take his place. No one could ever do that.”
She later added:
“I’m sorry I offended anyone. The statement meant Chris would carry on Michael’s legacy. Angels you know what I meant and God know what I meant. I will never stop praising God’s name. This is a beautiful day!! No matter what.”
Despite my feelings about Chris’s past transgressions, as talented as he is, I totally get how he could be looked upon to carry on the legacy of the Gloved One, but if that’s what Hawkins meant, that’s what she should’ve said to begin with. It’s hard to believe someone could be so thick-skulled, that they’re unable to foresee people getting a little upset by the wording of her original Tweet. Breezy, get your mama off of Twitter—she’s going to end up doing you more harm than good.
Is this really news worthy? I knew exactly what his mom meant when she tweeted. She was not taking away from Michael Jackson, she was simply stating his legacy will live on and the spirit of Michael Jackson would we alive in Chris Brown. If you have a problem with Chris Brown, that is a personal problem, but do not try to attack his family. God bless you!

Im not gonna take nothing from Chris, he does his thing. But he dont do it like Michael Jackson. I’m gonna have to shut moms down on this one. His music is mediocre. He doesn’t have that spark like MJ, that swag. sorry boo!!

It was a mistake and she admitted that. Why does everyone automatically become so negative. I can’t understand. I make stupid mistakes every day and I own up to them and pay the consequences. Isn’t that what life is about. Live and let learn. My feelings towards Chris Brown’s mom have not changed just because of her tweet. I guess my stress levels are always on check because I always wish everyone well. Even the negative people who constantly hurt each other. I wish them much peace in their lives.
Lighten up people. We are all human and meant to make mistakes so that we can continue learning. You can’t learn anything good from negativity, but doing right by your wrong is GOLDEN

CHRIS WILL NEVER MAKE PPL PASS OUT AT CONCERTS AND HAVE MEDICAL PERSONEL ON SITE. HAVING OTHER ARTIST CHOKE UP WHEN HE IS PRESENT. CHRIS PERFORMANCE AT THE AWARDS SHOW WAS SO WHACK. HE SHOULD HAVE SAVE THOSE TEARS AFTER HE BRUTALLY BEAT RIHANNA AZZ, AND REALIZE HIS CAREER WILL NEVER BE THE SAME. THESE PPL THAT SAY 4GIVE CHRIS, OK LET HIM WHOOP YOU AZZ OR YOUR LOVE1. AND SEE IF YOUR GOING TO BE SO FORGIVING. AFTER THE INCIDENT HAPPENED, CHRIS DONT EVEN LOOK HAPPY NO MORE…RIP MICHAEL JACKSON, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.
Chris Brown’s mother would like to believe he could carry on MJ’s legacy. Reality bites. Chris Brown has created his own legacy and no one wants to be a part of it.
