New York Fashion Week: Jen Kao Spring 2011

Yesterday was day one of New York Fashion Week and last night I was part of the hair styling team for the Jen Kao Spring 2011 show at Milk Studios.

While the likes of the beautiful Kelly Rowland and Jessica White (pictured above) were seated front row at the show, I was toiling away backstage making sure the models were runway ready. Jen Kao’s theme this year was desert-inspired— “where desert princes find their zombie brides,” according to the designer. Alrighty then! The combination did make for some stunning gowns; Kao’s long white dresses were the highlight of the collection.

Check out my exclusive candids from behind-the-scenes:

The team from M.A.C provided the make-up for all models on the night

Stay tuned for more Fashion Week coverage—Day Two up next!
