From the producers of Friday and You Got Served, The Project‘s plot centers around the making of three student films focused on inner-city New York street-life gone wrong. The piece, directed by Ryan Piotrowicz, recently garnered a “Best Audience Award” at the Slamdance Film Festival. Santana stars alongside The Sopranos actor Matt Servitto and Cloverfield‘s Matt Stahl David.

Will smith because he won a grammy for his music and every movie he is in is number one in box office

I think Ice Cube is the best rapper turned actor because he’s won numberous awards in both cateogies. He also has a balance between the two so he hasnt completely left either scence and is still making great music and movies unlike some people!!!
While will smith is the more obvious answer because he is one of the most loved actors today, i’ve gotta give it up for my girl Queen Latifah! She is one of very few ‘rappers turned actor’ that have had more success in the film industry than in music. She has done an incredible job in her career and is still going strong.
I know I’m late but I gotta give it to Ice Cube on this one
