Does Drake Want Rihanna Back?
Although the rumor about Drake and Rihanna making out at the after party for the rapper’s recent Radio City Music Hall concert was squashed by an employee of the NYC club where the party was held, that doesn’t mean Drake wouldn’t have swap spit with the “Rude Boy” singer if he’d gotten the chance that night. According to In Touch Magazine, the Young Money emcee wants to rekindle the flame with Rih-Rih in a major way. An inside source told the celebrity gossip weekly:
“Drake is totally aware that Rihanna and Matt [Kemp] are still a couple, but that hasn’t stopped him from going for it. He’s trying to spend every moment he can with her to win her back.”
Rih-Rih and Drake dated for a short while last summer, but apparently, the romance lasted long enough to leave the Degrassi High alum completely enamored by her. On how Rih-Rih made him feel during their brief liaison, Drake told MTV News back in June:
“She’s just such an overwhelming and incredible person. And such a talented person and someone that I was like, ‘I can’t believe I’m here talking to this individual,’ that she just gave me that feeling like when I was 17-years-old trying to take Nikki Ramos, this girl from Toronto, out on a date and she never wanted to go with me. She never would go; she would have a million excuses why she couldn’t talk to me. That’s how [Rihanna] made me feel, she made me feel small; she made me feel nervous. It just put me back to the Acura in Toronto, feeling like Aubrey Graham, not Drake.”
The second single off Rih-Rih’s upcoming album, Loud, is a song called “What’s My Name?”, which has an alternate version featuring the Canadian MC. Recently, the duo revealed they both hope to shoot a video for the track. If that happens, Matt may need to make regular visits to the video set with a bat at his side just in case he needs to practice his swing.
