Kid Cudi and Kanye channel their inner rockers in their “Erase Me” video. The single was released over the summer and met with as much adulation as chagrin. The song is definitely not hip-hop and took many people by surprise. These two G.O.O.D. music labelmates have displayed a fearlessness when delving into different genres, and the video follows suit. The video offers a stylized look at Hollywood in the 70s and, frankly, the Cudi doesn’t look too out of place clad in bell-bottoms, hippie headband, and Jimi Hendrix hair piece. Kanye sports his look du jour touched by midas in numerous gold chains. Oh and if you’re wondering where you know that drummer from, it’s McLovin from Superbad.
