David Banner and actors Joaquin Phoenix and Casey Affleck have filmed a video titled Vote Fearlessly as part of the Rock The Vote campaign, encouraging young people to head to the polls on Tuesday, November 2.

In case you’re not aware, Rock the Vote’s mission is to engage and build political power for young people in our country. Founded 20 years ago, Rock the Vote recently announced the growth of its team in 2010, in support of the tidal wave of young people who (arguably since the election of President Obama) now want to get involved in elections and seize the power of the youth vote to create political and social change.

Over the last two decades, Rock the Vote has registered more young people to vote than any other organization or campaign, and is one of the best-informed places online for educating the next generation on what they need to know before casting a ballot.

According to the official RTV Web site, millions of new voters between the ages of 18-29 cast ballots in 2004, 2006 and 2008. The organization dedicates itself to building the political power and clout of this generation by registering and mobilizing young people, forcing candidates to campaign to this growing group and, once in office, making politicians pay attention to the youth and their issues.
