After a barrage of reports that Beyoncé and Jay-Z were finally expecting their first child together, the superstar’s mother says the rumors are false. Tina Knowles taped an appearance on Ellen yesterday and cleared up all the gossip.
There you have it. It’s kind of silly anyone would believe these stories when there’ve been several of its kind and all have been false. Besides, if Beyonce and Jay-Z can get married without people knowing, we probably won’t know about their first child until he/she does a mixtape with Willow Smith.
It would be nice for Queen Creole to pop out a little bundle of Carter joy, especially since her husband isn’t exactly Benjamin Button. However, Beyoncé has made it quite clear she is focused on her career and won’t be starting a family too soon. Imagine all the stress The Bey camp would have to go through if she got knocked up now—her mother would be making maternity leotards, Popeye’s would run out of chicken, and her water would break onstage in Brazil in the middle of “Get Me Bodied.”
It’s probably best she put a slight hold on motherhood.
