Correctional Captain Gets Suspended For Paying Lil Wayne A Visit
Just over a week before his planned release from Rikers Island, some more drama is surfacing surrounding Lil Wayne. Captain Raphael Collazzo of the Correctional Department was caught on a security camera visiting Wayne’s isolation cell for approximately 45 minutes. This little peek-a-boo session was not explained.
“We don’t know what he was doing. We know the camera picked him up,” said one source.
Collazzo’s explanation “did not suffice to explain the time he spent” with the rapper, who is serving a one-year sentence for a loaded gun on his tour bus, the source added.
Collazzo was suspended without pay for 10 days, said agency spokeswoman Sharman Stein, who declined to elaborate. [Source]
Shortly after his arrival to the prison, another officer by the name of Amelia Negron was fired from her job after she allegedly visited Mr. Carter’s cell. Looks like Wayne’s got a few eager fans in the system. No wonder he gets the hook-up on Doritos and Ramen.
