Is This The End For Lil Kim?
As the release of rapper Nicki Minaj‘s debut album nears, more and more leaks from the project surface. The most recent track to hit the public is “Roman’s Revenge,” her collaboration with Eminem, and although news broke about a week ago that she had recorded a track with Em, there weren’t any details on the shots she was going to take at a certain female rapper. In the Swizz Beatz–produced mega track Nicki sheds light on how she feels about Lil Kim, and although she doesn’t say Kim’s name directly, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know Nicki is going at the Queen Bee. In the song the Young Money mistress spits bars like,
“Fuck I look like gettin’ back to a has been? Yeah I said it, has been/ Hang it up, flat screen”
And she doesn’t stop there, she continues with lines like:
“You need a job, this ain’t cuttin it/ Nicki Minaj is who you ain’t fuckin’ with”
And if you thought that was it, Nicki drops a few more dissing bars:
“Is this the thanks that I get for putting you b*tches on? Is it my fault that all of you b*tches gone/ Should’a sent a thank you note you little hoe, now Im’ma wrap your coffin with a bow”

Now Kim’s taken a few shots at Nicki and said she needs to pay homage, but she hasn’t gotten at Young Money’s first lady like “Roman’s Revenge” gets at her. Nicki’s ever growing fan base and big hype around her debut secure her candidacy for the top female spot, while making it even easier to forget an almost obsolete Kimberly Jones, who hasn’t dropped an album since 2005. I have to ask: Is this the end for Lil Kim?

Kim doesn’t need to drop an album, she’s got money. Just because she hasn’t dropped an album doesn’t mean everything she’s done in the past is erased cause some new pop star came out. Kim been in this game almost 20yrs.She has longevity.Niki is over 25.I never understood why Niki followed Kim Blue Print and disrespect Kim.The mix tape game is a different ball game. The dudes are more feminine than the girls. People knew Kim would come back she’s never been scared in that respect but she came weak as usual. The hardest diss Kim ever had was her Quiet Storm verses and “The Notorious K.I.M.” against Foxy but Foxy dismantled the QB over “Run Dem”, “Bang Bang” and “730″. She tried to run Remy out with her I Get Money diss and Shook Hands but Remy demolished Kim w/ one track “When I See Her”. Even Eve shot Kim hella subliminals before they made peace (for example see Eve’s verse on “Double R What?”)Black Friday was purely forgettable and she leaned on Pharoah Monche’s orginal song. Is this the end for Kim pssh never that. In my opinion Kim never fell off like Foxy. Kim’s had more tracks and been on more tracks than Nicki and Foxy combined. People act like she hasn’t been making ANYTHING when in reality she has. her last album was a mixtape from 2008 and she’s been doin singles and remixes but as far as falling off she hasn’t.
