Nicki Minaj, Drake, Wale: Fashion Hits & Misses At Lil Wayne’s Party
Less than three days after his release from prison, Lil Wayne was welcomed home during a big bash in Miami. Drake, Nicki Minaj, Busta Rhymes and many more were there to greet him. Let’s just say it’s been a while since we’ve seen so many people on one red carpet—looking a hot mess!
Check out the biggest fashion misses first, followed by the very few hits of the evening.
Where do we start with Nicki Minaj. Coming out looking like a watermelon with her all pink ensemble and bright green wig, we’re guessing Nicki’s stylist took the night off. And those brown suede booties with the fur? Why Nicki, why?
Forget the one-shoulder look, T-Pain is starting a new trend—the one arm jacket. We can take a guess this won’t be getting very far. Also, what’s up with the color coordination with the kicks?
I don’t know if that is just a really bad shirt or a jacket tucked into Busta Rhymes‘ pants, but it is so wrong nonetheless.
Wale got a little color happy with his BAPE shirt and Ralph Lauren jacket. Too much going on here.
That pink bra/clingy black skirt combo and the Mary Jane heels with the bows…
Shanell looks like she scrambled out of bed and threw on whatever she could find.
Jay Sean was doing alright until the skin tight tee. And there’s a little too much shine going on between the metallic shoes, shiny finish on the jeans and leather vest.
Drake smashed it with this metallic teal blazer. He kept the rest of his look clean, which should be a given with a loud piece like this. A+ from us.
The Tennessee Titans’ Chris Johnson kept it cool and casual in a v-neck white tee, a good pair of jeans, crispy white kicks and a khaki jacket.
Cool and Dre went with a grown up street look, donning black and white graphic tees and some dope outerwear pieces.
The man of the hour, Lil Wayne, showed up in his usual skater/rocker steez—and as usual, it worked!
