It’s official. Jay Electronica is signed to a label and it’s none other than Jay-Z‘s Roc Nation. The news quickly shot around Twitter as Hov made the announcement at an industry gathering in New York City last night. The signing ended years of speculation as to where Jay Electronica would call his recording home.

“We’re trying to reintroduce magic to Hip-Hop,” Jay-Z said from the stage at a club called The Box.

So the New Orleans–born Electronica will now be joining artists such as J. Cole, Rihanna, Alexis Jordan, and Willow Smith in the Roc Family. Congratulations to him!
