Matt Kemp Puts A Ring Of A Different Kind On It
Like we previously told you, Matt Kemp wants to make Rihanna his wife, and although the “Umbrella” singer is committed to their relationship, she isn’t ready to walk down the aisle just yet. As a result, instead of an engagement ring, the Los Angeles Dodger put a promise ring on Rih-Rih’s finger. An inside source told In Touch Weekly:
“Rihanna is only 22 years old and not ready to get married, but she knows that Matt is her future husband. Matt is 26, though, and is completely in love. He wants to settle down sooner rather than later, and that’s why he gave Rihanna this beautiful ring.”
A promise ring is often referred to as a pre-engagement ring, and it’s typically given to a significant other as a precursor to an engagement ring. These two being one of my favorite celebrity couples, I hope Rih-Rih discovers she’s ready to take the plunge in the immediate future.
In related gossip, I’m hearing Rih-Rih felt so bad about missing her good friend Katy Perry exchange vows with British comic Russell Brand, that she’s apologized by footing the bill for a second honeymoon for the couple in Tokyo at a cost of $60,000. A source told British newspaper The Sun:
“She told Katy she’d been racking her brains about how to make it up to them. She knows how much Katy loves Tokyo, so this way she could give them a trip they would always remember.”
Note to self: Dump broke friends and find rich ones.
