After the huge success of films like The Cookout and Scary Movie 3, it’s no surprise that Ja Rule is jumping back into film. Well next year the incog rapper will be playing an ex-con pastor in a gospel biopic.

Entitled I’m In Love With A Church Girl, Ja will play the role of a drug dealer trying to change his life around when he meets a woman, a church girl, played by Adrienne Bailon (Cheetah Girls).

The heartwarming story is actually based on the true story of Pastor Galley Molina who wrote the script while in prison. [source]

A love story between Ja Rule and a Cheetah Girl? This is no Tyler Perry production, but BET is certainly going to eat it up. Pastor Molina expressed his faith in Rule claiming he would be the best person to carry the role—well, DMX is currently in jail, so sure.

There is no release date for the film as of yet.
