Fur is taken to new levels this year. And the beauty of it is, if you’re not down with rocking the real thing, faux fur is widely accepted as the cruelty-free, inexpensive alternative. Even Chanel featured the animal-friendly stuff on the runway, from full-body suits to leg warmers.

Take it beyond the slopes with short Nordic knit rompers and reindeer-print bodysuits. The look is festive, cozy and a good way to fool people into thinking you’re a pro at the sport.

Labels like Lanvin went for architectural cuts on oversize outerwear.  Leaving plenty of space within structured shoulders, nipped waists and wide sleeves, these pieces maintain a feminine look when paired with killer high heels. If you plan on packing on a few pounds over the holidays, these roomy styles may come in handy.

For a striking, polished look, go in on color this winter. Whether you’re sporting one solid color head-to-toe, or blending various shades of it in a layered ensemble, this is an extremely strong yet easy-to-achieve trend.
