Paula Patton, Angela Bassett and Laz Alonso Are Jumping The Broom
Some of black Hollywood’s finest have come together for the upcoming wedding comedy, Jumping The Broom, slated to be in theaters May 6, 2011. The all-star cast includes Paula Patton, Laz Alonso, Angela Bassett, Meagan Goode, Mike Epps and Tasha Smith, to name a few. The story revolves around a woman (Paula Patton) who hits a man (Laz Alonso) with her car, falls in love with him and gets proposed to. But things don’t seem to go too smoothly when the two families come together for the wedding on Martha’s Vineyard, as they realize they’re in completely different social-status brackets. As the wedding ceremony approaches, the two lovers question if their union will be able to happen because their families don’t seem to mix. Check out the trailer for the film below and be on the lookout for the movie’s release later next year.
