Nicki Minaj (pictured above in one of her now trademark crazy outfits, complete with green and gold hair) and other stars hit the red carpet for last night’s American Music Awards, held at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles.

Ne-Yo looked dapper as always in a chocolate brown and burgundy ensemble.

Pink chose to keep it basic in a flowy, black dress (with her emerging baby bump underneath).

Usher hit the red carpet in a complete rock star look: black from head to toe, leather, shades and jewelry.

Trey Songz kept it clean with a sharp 1950s-inspired, silver-toned suit.

Rihanna (Favorite R&B/Soul Artist on the night) looked luminous in an Elie Saab gown with fire-engine red curls.

Keri Hilson looked smoking hot in a croc-skinned black mini, gold jewelry and gold and black stilettos.

The Smiths hit the carpet (Willow, mom Jada and Jaden) in their usual upbeat family tradition, rocking various colorful looks.

And the ever-evolving ridiculousness that is the Black Eyed Peas (winners on the night) rounded up the red carpet.
