Juan Manuel Marquez Deserves A Third Fight With Manny Pacquiao

After Saturday’s sizzling performance against Michael Katsidis in which he scored a ninth round TKO, it appears Juan Manuel Marquez may be on the cusp of a third fight with Manny Pacquiao. And anyone who wants to dispute that can jump off the Brooklyn Bridge.

The man who took Pacquiao to the brink and fell short is one of the best fighters in the world not named Mayweather or Pacquiao. Sure, he lost to the Filipino twice and may get demolished should the opportunity present itself, but this is one of the best fighters in the business we are talking about here, and we still like his chances.

Everyone is wondering who should fight Pacquiao next. Should it be Shane Mosley (too old)? Andre Berto (too young)? Sergio Martinez (too big)? All of those names sound good (really good if your name is Sergio Martinez) but the truth is Marquez has done everything he could to put himself in a position to get another huge payday in a fight he rightfully desires.

For those not aware, Marquez fought Pacquiao back in 2004 and went down three times in the first round before roaring back to earn a draw. That in itself is very impressive. The rematch in 2008 was just as exciting as the first fight but Marquez fell short and lost a highly disputed split decision to Pacquiao. Many thought he deserved the victory and now he has a chance to exact revenge.

Hopefully the boxing Gods hear me and give Marquez what he deserves. Those other guys can wait, or not fight at all for all I care. Juan Manuel Marquez may not have many years left in the sport at age 37 so give him one last huge payday in a fight that is bound to be action packed (for as long as it lasts).

Don’t ruin this as you have done before. Marquez deserves better.

This guy doesn’t deserve a fight with Manny. Why? If you are going to disrespect a person, why are you asking the person to give you the opportunity to make the money of your life time? This is balantly stupid.

Plus, after the first negotiation failed between Manny and Floyd and was offered to fight Manny, Marquez clearly stated that he will not fight Manny unless Olympic style blood testing is implemented. Now the guy has a change of heart, claiming that Manny is scared. That is disrespectful, and if I was Manny, I wouldn’t give him the chance.

Finally, if Manny win by a decision, Marquez will sing the same song, claiming that he was cheated. Marquez is not a man, but a LEACH who is looking for a huge pay day.

Manny, please do not fight the DONKEY until he learns to respect people and his opponents.

    For your information Mr. Peeman,

Manny is the pound 4 pound best in the world. and him Mr. Arum they can dictate the fight because you are only a challenger. And pacquiao will not fight you under 147 because he is comfortable on that weight. And if you are saying that he fight only boxer who are washed up..then fight these boxer;;;dela hoya, hatton, cotto, clottey and margarito less than one round your jealous ass will kickout moron..you can cry anytime you want baby…when u and pacquiao met on first time and they said it’s a draw but one judges tell that he miss but in favor of pacquiao..do you remember your first round with three knockdown…it should be 10-6 not 10-7 and when pacquiao claim for a rematch you make it on 2008..so you are the ducker..and then finally …you beat D class fighters and claiming to fight the best pound for pound are you insane…fight bradley, berto, khan before to manny pacquio..you are not deserved to fight these gentleman…and be a sportsman…

    To Mr. Peeman,

At the end of the day ..boxing is all about business..and if GBP and marquez can give guaranteed purse to manny and the bussiness is deal.. And Toprank and MP Promotion are only who can dictate the fight..And marquez “the peeman” is not a cashcow king..when fight between marquez and katsidis only how many guest 4k plus how about pacquiao when he fought last time in cowboy stadium 70k did you see the difference.. This fight should be 70/30 pacquiao 70 and marquez 30..and no catchweight…if he marquez wants to fight the best and he can jump to welterweight..and the guaranteed purse of $20M and business is deal. As far Is Golden Boy Promotion is concerned…what happened to Lil Floyd…

Well a third fight sounds intriguing, considering how the previous two went.
But Marquez’s only fight at welterweight showed us a a very old version of his self. Will people pay to see him again in that weight class considering how poorly he performed the last time around, even if its against Pacquiao?
Marquez Vs Pacquiao at featherweight was great!
Marquez Vs Pacquiao at Super feather was better!
Marquez Vs Pacquiao at Welterweight…well I think it’ll be competetive the first three rounds then the weight and age will show up on Marquez. Heck why should we spoil the memories of the first two fights with a third one?
Bring on Mayweather, Berto or Mosley. And for Marquez give him the semi retired Hatton and lets go on from there.

Why Marqez needs to fight Manny for the 3rd time since he already beat Manny twice. What happen with this guy? Why? why? Marqez, you beat Manny twice already. why you need beat him again? This guy called Marqez is so disrespect to Manny since he beg to fight Manny. Who is Manny now? How can Marqez beg to fight Manny with his disrespect behaviour? Marqez is so disrespectful to Manny. I hope Manny just let this disrespectful guy, Marqez, cry and drink his urine forever. This is a good lesson for Marqez with his disrespectful behaviour. Marqez and Oscar is a group of disrespectful person.
