Flo Rida Talks Crazy Fans, World Tour & New Album
Flo Rida realized after only a few short years in the music biz that crafting crossover pop songs was his lane, and a very lucrative one at that. Hits like “Low,” “Right Round” and “Sugar” from last year’s R.O.O.T.S album have sold millions of digital copies around the world and were featured on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart for months.
Born Tramar Dillard in humble beginnings (the 187th Street Projects in Carol City, Florida), Flo now finds himself touring the world to sold-out crowds, making mainstream smashes like the current “Club Can’t Handle Me” (produced by David Guetta) and having the commercial power to make money for brands like Apple Bottoms and Reebok with the mere mention of them. The rapper sat down with me at New York’s fun Carnival party venue recently to chat about the world as he knows it today—check it out below:
