Although I told you two weeks ago that Rihanna and Matt Kemp called it quits, more details have just emerged about the duo’s split. Reportedly, the “What’s My Name” singer “was just over it.” A source told USMagazine.com:

“It was never as serious as it looked. It was always just [about] having fun.”

For Matt’s part, the Los Angeles Dodger was tired of looking like Rih-Rih’s punk. According to the source:

“Matt’s sick of always following after her like a puppy dog all over the world. He wants something more normal.”

Matt and Rih-Rih have been romantically linked since earlier this year when they were spotted vacationing together in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The baseball star is often credited with helping Rih-Rih get over her tumultuous relationship with Chris Brown. Over the summer, the Bajan beauty said of her relationship with Matt:

“I’m so happy. I feel really comfortable and it’s so easy. [The relationship] is just my peace. It keeps me sane.”

From what I hear, Rih-Rih’s relationship with a certain Canadian hip-hop star is keeping her sane these days. “Ooh na na, what’s my name” indeed.
