5. Demon Sheep Campaign Ad

In this bizarre ad, former mega businesswoman and politician Carly Fiorina (R-CA), uses a demon sheep to paint her Republican primary opponent, Tom Campbell (R-CA), as a fiscal conservative in name only. The ad quickly turns into the strangest policital video in recent history when someone dressed in a sheep costume and red eyes begins to stalk the real sheep.  It truly looks like the work of a couple of stoned college kids. Fiorina actually went on to win the Republican nomination in a landslide victory. But in the end sanity won out, as Barbara Boxer (D-CA) wiped the floor with the demon sheep queen during the 2010 general election.

4. Fagetaboudit: Brooklyn Congressman Gets Very Brooklyn

Brooklyn congressman and residential badass Anthony Weiner (D-NY) comes to the floor of the United States Congress and proceeds to lay the smack down on Republicans for blocking the Zadroga Bill.  The bill, which just recently passed through Congress, provides health care for 9/11 first responders.  However, this classic came months ago before the issue recieved national attention.  I wish I lived in his district just so I could vote for him.  Long live Big Anthony from Brooknam.

3. I’m Not Witch, I’m Just Crazy

In this campaign ad, the very likable, but very misguided Delaware Republican Senate nominee Christine O’Donnell tries to address previous comments she made on Bill Maher’s Politically Incorrect show about her involvement in witchcraft.  Clearly O’Donnell, who made the silly comments about delving into witchcraft a decade ago, is not a witch. But the ad gave comic material for every show this side of the Atlantic and showed her to be a less-than-serious candidate for the U.S. Senate.

2. OMFG…Really Phil? Really?

Wow. This video of Phil Davison (R-OH) emotionally pleading with constituents to vote for him for Stark County Treasurer went viral immediately. Sanity was at a premium this election season and Phil here fit right in with the Tea Party Express. First yelling, then crying, then checking quotes; someone needs a ‘chill pill’ a.k.a. Xanax. Well, Phil lost, but this video, what a win. ROTF.

1. Hey, Hey, I Bring the Goons Out

Political quote of the year: “You send another goon to my house and I’ll take you out.” Even though Carl Paladino (R-NY) lost the race for New York Governor, he gave us some amazing material. From racist and pornographic emails, to homophobic rhetoric, Carly P never let us down. Here he threatens New York Post reporter Fred Dicker after Dicker questions him about unfounded comments Paladino made in regards to the marital fidelity of Andrew Cuomo (D-NY).  Straight out of a Scorsese film, Carly P brags, “I’ll take you out.” Dicker is no pushover though, going toe to toe with Paladino. Epic. Just, epic.
