Today is the last day of 2011. And you already know what that means: It’s time to decide on a New Year’s Resolution. Dun, dun, dunnnnn….
So, what’s it gonna be: Lose weight? Pay off those credit card bills you’ve been putting off since ’06? Wake up early every morning and jog two miles? Whatever it is, make it count. You only get a fresh start and a clean slate once every 365 days, so use it to the best of your advantage.
You’re not the only one who should be making a New Year’s Resolution, though. While it’s true that they probably don’t have to lose much weight, pay down much credit card debt or exercise more often, your favorite athletes should be making a New Year’s resolution today, too, in order to make themselves better people in 2011. And if they’re not? Well, we’ve got some New Year’s resolutions for them. Hey, guys (and gals!), if you haven’t made a resolution yet, here’s how you should get the new year started.
The Athlete: Golfer Tiger Woods
The Resolution: Be more accommodating to the sports media now that you’re entering your second year back on the PGA Tour.
How It’ll Help: Take a page out of Kobe Bryant’s book. After the rape scandal that nearly cost him his career, Kobe started making himself (slightly) more accessible to the press and actually came out of the whole thing looking even better than he did before the alleged incident. If you want to become the beloved golfer that you once were again, start acting like one again.
