Nas Convinces Judge To Reduce Child & Spousal Support For Kelis
Nas must be doing the Dougie right now since he’s finally been given some good news in his ongoing child-and-spousal support battle with ex-wife Kelis. According to TMZ, the legendary emcee has managed to convince a Los Angeles judge to reduce both:
“According to legal docs filed in L.A. County Superior Court, Nas must now pay a tad over $5,000 a month in child support and $20,000 a month in spousal support.”
Kelis filed for divorce from the “Made You Look” rapper in April 2009 amid rumors of infidelity and abuse after four-years of marriage. Seven-months pregnant at the time, the “Milkshake” singer gave birth to the couple’s son, Knight, that summer. While $25,000 every 30 days or so is still a lot of money, it’s a drastic reduction in the $55,000 per month in child and spousal support Nas was previously ordered to pay. Although I’m a little perplexed about what ol’ girl has been spending all that money on considering she’s taken to dressing like a homeless person lately.
