Kardashian Sisters Slapped With $75M Lawsuit For Debit Card Drama
The Kardashians have been super busy in the intro to this new year. Kim has been shooting music videos with Mother Kanye West, Khloe is preparing to debut a reality show with her husband Lamar Odom, and Kourtney has been raising her baby boy and Skyping with her estranged twin, Ameriie.
Meanwhile in the land of not-so-nice news, Revenue Resource Group LLC is suing the sisters for a chunky $75 million due to breach of contract. The now defunct “Kardashian Kard” went under investigation by Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal after finding that it was allegedly composed of “predatory” fees that targeted financially irresponsible young people.
Blumenthal said the MasterCard-branded “Kardashian Kard” was “filled with gotcha fees and charges, such as $99.95 annual fees, $7.95 monthly fees…ATM withdrawal fees, bill pay fees, loading fees—and even charges for talking to a live operator at their service center, and a card cancellation fee. After discovering the investigation, the Kardashian women ended their endorsement of the card, which supposedly resulted in a loss of $75 mil for Revenue Resource Group. Now the company is reaching down in those reality star pockets for the doubloons. Charge it to the game, indeed.
