Kanye West Spends $180k For A Watch With His Face On It
One person who seems to be unaffected by the recession is Kanye West. The Chicago producer/rapper went H.A.M with his jewelry game and dropped $180,000 on a one-of-a-kind Tiret watch, customized with a picture of his face. Yes, Kanye’s face is on the face of the watch. In diamonds.
The 18-carat-gold watch took over five months to make and features a gold-toned mother-of-pearl dial with white, yellow, brown and black diamonds for Kanye’s image, along with two Swiss quartz chronograph movements. The bezel also contains large diamonds. In all, the watch contains eight carats worth of stones. In my opinion spending $180k on a watch is a bit much, but I’m certain Kanye will make that money back once his Watch The Throne collaboration album with Jay-Z is released. The money is not the issue, but for 180 k, you could’ve made a better watch.
