Nike 2011 Black History Month Pack
The Nike 2011 Black History Month pack consists of four models—the Nike Air Jordan III, Nike Air Force 1, Nike Zoom Kobe VI and the Converse Star Player EVO. Besides the Air Force 1, each shoe represents a legendary African-American basketball players; Julius “Dr. J” Irving (Converse Star Player EVO…the Pro Leather he rocked would have been hotter, imo…), Michael “Air” Jordan (Air Jordan III, duh.) and Kobe “Mamba” Bryant (Zoom Kobe VI, obviously).
The best of this foursome is easily the Air Jordan 3. While everyone will be rushing to get the cement grey AJ3’s, these black and gold beauties are extremely ill. Also, according to a press release, the Modern Gold represents the championship greatness of the three aforementioned stars, the black is a nod to the dominant sneaker color of the 60’s and the extra color flourishes celebrate African-American art. The shoes will be available nationwide starting February 26. Tastefully done.
