Lil Wayne Talks Gambling, Solitary Confinement, Feud With Dwayne Wade & LeBron
Lil Wayne‘s post-prison moves have been on point, and he’s just made another good one. The Young Money CEO is on the cover of the new issue of Rolling Stone, where he discusses prison life on Riker’s Island, gambling for phone time and commissary:
“I’d bust a n*gga’s ass at Uno,” he told writer Josh Eells. “We gamble for phone time. I’d take nigga’s commissary: Lemme get them cookies, lemme get them chips, get that soup.”
Weezy also discussed how an inmate took some of the blame for the musical contraband found in his room, as well as spending his last month of jail in solitary confinement:
“He was a solid n*gga,” says Wayne. “Shout-out to Charles…Solitary was the worst. No TV. No radio. No commissary. Basically you’re in there 23 hours a day.” The only upside? He had a window where he could watch cars go by. “I used to sit at that motherfucker all day,” he says.
Lil Wayne also speaks on his problem with Lebron James and Dwayne Wade not acknowledging him when he attends their games:
“Them n*ggas never speak to a n*gga,” he says. “They don’t chuck me the deuce or nothing. N*gga spent all that money on them fucking tickets…Come holla at me. We sit right by them little bitch-ass n*ggas. At least come ask me why I’m not rooting for you.”
