Pooch Hall Stars In PSYBERIA’s Winter Fashion Lookbook

Submitted by on January 25, 2011 – 11:37 am3 Comments

Pooch Hall, star of BET’s highest-rated series The Game, is featured exclusively in the Winter 2011 photo shoot for active wear line Psyberia.

The brand debuted a small collection of goods this year including goose-filled “Psyberian” puffa jackets and leather water resistant “Jack Frost” boots.

“My career started in New York, and anyone who lives in this city—or any place with a serious winter at that—knows it gets BRICK cold. Like lungs freezing type cold,” says Hall. “The insulation in Psyberia jackets kept me warm while I was walking the streets during my recent trip, and they have a sexy style that make them wearable anywhere. Psyberia goods are in a class by themselves.”

“I’m super proud of the love Psyberia has received from people, even cool Hollywood cats like Pooch,” says Danny Peguero, the brand’s Designer/Co-Founder. “He was a great model for us in a perfect setting.”

Peguero continues, “With Psyberia, I’ve stayed loyal to creating product for function without sacrificing style. From the early days of all-night sketching, international emails and Skype calls, to where you find us today with our first official shoot starring Pooch Hall, the line will definitely be stealing the thunder this winter.”

Critics have said The Game has become more of a drama than a comedy—what’s your take?
Pooch: The Game had already crossed over into the “dramedy” world while it was still on CW11. I think [the show's writer] Mara Brock Akil felt there were some serious, real-life issues and we needed to play them in a real way. Baby mama drama, love triangles, divorce, drug abuse, financial stress, etc. That being said, we would still try to find the humor in the whole scheme of things to give people hope and make light of everything.”

Besides acting in The Game, what else do you have planned when it comes to your career?
“I’m looking forward to my big screen debut with the film Jumping The Broom starring Angela Bassett, Paula Patton, Meagan Good and Loretta Devine. I got into Hollywood to show my talents by playing other characters, and someday I want to be directing and producing. Right now I want to give life to as many characters as possible, starting with Jumping The Broom where I play Ricky, the best friend and best man to Laz Alonzo. The film will be out on Mother’s Day. With The Game‘s record breaking debut of 7.7 million viewers—the most in cable history—the industry has definitely taken notice of my talent. I’m so thankful to the fans for supporting me as well as the show.”

If you had to pick one role you would’ve loved to play from films past, what would it be?
“I would love to play Agent J from Men In Black or a similar character. He had all the components of a star: humor, action, partnership, a love story. Will (Smith) got to save the world. A hero more or less. That’s what I want to do and am going to do!”

Who’s your favorite actor?
“Wow, that’s a tough one. There are countless actors who inspire and challenge me to be better. But I am waiting for the time when Denzel Washington and I get to go head to head.”
