Bobby V: “I’m Looking For A Woman Who Can Teach Me Some Things”
Bobby V‘s upcoming fourth album, Fly On The Wall (out March 22) is aptly titled. Creating hits since a teenager (like 1996′s “Blackberry Molasses” with group Mista) to more recent smashes (“Slow Down”) and key guest appearances (“Pimpin’ All Over The World” with Ludacris, “Mrs. Officer” with Lil Wayne), the 30-year-old is a survivor who’s seen the ups and downs of a very fickle industry.
I sat with Bobby in the DrJays.com offices to talk about his career longevity, being a ladies man, how he’d humorously describe himself in a personal ad—and he sings a little somethin’ from his current single “Words” for me, too.
Bobby V’s DJ Drama hosted mixtape 60 More Minutes will be released on Valentine’s Day, while Fly On The Wall hits stores on March 22 via Blu Kolla Dreams/Capitol Records.
