Mike Epps Impersonates “Golden Voice” Ted Williams
Ladies and gentlemen, we’d like to take this opportunity to state the obvious. Comedian Mike Epps is a fool. In fact, funny isn’t even the word for him. He’s just silly. Sometimes a little too silly, but you still have to laugh. Epps is promoting a show he’ll be doing in Cleveland in March, so he chose to embody a hometown hero of sorts.
No, he didn’t make fun of LeBron James. He making fun of the man from Columbus with the “golden voice,” and storied rehab reneger Ted Williams. Epps even went to the same highway in the same spot Williams used to hold up his cardboard sign a few months ago.
While this isn’t the funniest video you’ve ever seen, it’s bound to make you smile (and the DJ looks a lot like Cedric The Entertainer, for what it’s worth).
If Williams can hold it together and go on to the greatness he seems destined for, Epps can play him in a movie. I’m thinking something to the tune of Cold Turkey: The Ted Williams Story. Has a nice ring to it, don’t you think?
