Minimalism: Less Is Often More

As fun as bold prints, studs, spikes and other embellishments are, minimalists are getting their shine this spring, as well.

We’re so used to seeing loud looks on everyone from Nicki Minaj to Lady Gaga, that being over-the-top has become, well, regular. It’s time to let your silhouette, your face and your hair get noticed. Let quality or unique fabrics speak for themselves, give the cut of your dress the chance to turn heads, and allow subtle details to complete your outfits.

Opt for lots of white, nude and other neutral tones. Wear one solid color head-to-toe, or layer along with other solid colors, keeping the frills to a minimum. It’s always cool to throw in splashes of color, like a neon blue waist belt or watch.
