Coachella Conversations: Dave 1 & Eric Haze
As most music lovers know, Coachella—the outdoor music love-fest, a diluted, modern-day Woodstock if you will, is just around the corner. Sunny California is busy preparing for a plethora of musical talent to sojourn to the state for a few days of live bliss. In preparation for this momentous occasion, Coachella Conversations has been spawned and features one half of the musical duo Chromeo in Dave 1, seated with fabled graffiti artist Eric Haze. You may not think you know Mr. Haze, but you’ve probably given his work a visceral once over. Whether you’re into hip-hop, sneakers, or art, Haze has something for everyone and is a proverbial triple threat in industry terms. The two talk hip-hop, art and being Jewish in Montreal. There’s one caveat: This isn’t a visual interview at all, but rather a sonic one with visual stills to accompany it.
