Justin Bieber’s Hair Goes For $40,000
Pop phenomenon Justin Bieber made a big buzz when he announced he was finally getting a haircut—and for charity, at that. The singer has hit the headlines again as his hair’s been auctioned off for $40,668.
The hair was put on eBay by Ellen DeGeneres with proceeds going to animal rescue foundation Gentle Barn. The winning bidder will also get to meet JB the next time he’s on Ellen’s show.
“It’s great and it’s for charity and how great is it that we have something that’s disposable that’s worth something?” said Justin’s hair stylist, Vanessa Price. “It’s a lot of money, but like I said, we’re just so lucky that that’s happened. We knew it was going to be a big deal. We knew it was going to shock fans, but we also knew it was going to be a change in terms of growing up. I think that’s something that people adjust to.
“The minute we started cutting, he was like, ‘Wait, wait, wait.’ He loves it. He’s enjoying it.”
