Tiny Talks Taking The Fall For T.I., Denies Open Relationship
A lot has been said about the relationship between T.I. and Tameka “Tiny” Cottle over the last several years. One of the most scandalous rumors that has been passed around about the couple accuses the two of having an open relationship (supposedly, Tiny seeks out other women to participate in her and the hip-hop star’s sexual shenanigans), a claim the former Xscape member categorically denies. She told XXL magazine:
“I’m not on no ‘He might do this.’ No, I’m not one of those girls. This ain’t no open relationship, like, ‘You can do that, and you coming home to me.’ No, it’s not one of those. Definitely not.”
Tiny also addressed the fans who felt she should’ve taken the fall for her man last September when drugs were found in the car the two were driving after they were pulled over on a routine traffic stop in Los Angeles (the drugs were a blatant violation of T.I.’s probation and put him back behind bars). She said:
“I feel like, if you don’t know the details on it, you can’t say I could take the fall. If I could have, I would have said, ‘Well, yeah, that’s me.’ But it wasn’t able to be done. And for one, there were other people—other friends in the car—that could have taken the fall, but it couldn’t happen.”
As for whether T.I. will stay on the straight and narrow once he’s released, Tiny is confident the “Swagga Like Us” rapper will never see another day within the confines of a jail cell:
“It’s timeout for any nonsense. We know what to do now. Not that we didn’t then—but things happened, you know. Now it’s for sure. He’s never gonna go back to jail. We can’t have that.”
It’s crazy how it took multiple prison stints within a twelve-month period before someone decided “it’s timeout for any nonsense.” Does anyone else besides me see the ludicrousy (I’m not even sure if that’s a word, but it fits my point perfectly) in that?
