Catch The Los Angeles Lakers On Minute To Win It
Although the reluctantly resurgent Lakers‘ eight-game winning streak has come to an end, they are still the defending champions. With a much different league than what they dealt with last year (and with a #3 rank in the Western conference), the world champion team from Los Angeles has a lot to prove—and they know it. Now notorious for playing around and expecting to “turn it on” when they need to, the Lakers (or at least a couple of them) are looking to prove that they can compete in a totally different arena—for a more worthy cause than a championship.
Clutch point guard Derek Fisher and high-flying shooting guard Shannon Brown are teaming up to take the stage on Minute To Win It, the game show which features all types of 60-second games that would be great for a carnival (or a college party—loser takes shots). Being that these two are used to performing against a 24-second clock, a whole minute should be a cinch, right?
We’ll see. We all know the #1 closer for the Lakers is the Black Mamba, Kobe Bryant. Can the champs prove worthy without him?
They will be playing to win $1,000,000 for their respective charities, the University of Arkansas Foundation and the Shannon Brown Foundation, and hopefully we can all put loyalty to other NBA teams aside and root for them to win it all.
This special edition of Minute To Win It will air on NBC this Wednesday at 7pm EST.
