Hate It Or Love It: “Friday” By Rebecca Black
Rebecca Black‘s had one hell of a week.
The 13-year-old aspiring singer’s insanely catchy debut song and video “Friday” debuted on YouTube last weekend and now has over 16 million views (and counting).
While the AutoTune vibe and beyond basic lyrics of “Friday” have made it a hit with the tween audience, Gawker.com calling it “the worst song and video ever.” Black has apparently been in tears over the past couple days due to even harsher criticism from the general public, with one commenter saying “I hope you cut yourself, and I hope you get an eating disorder so you’ll look pretty.”
Refusing to take the video down, Black says she views “Friday” as an accomplishment. “Even a person that doesn’t like it, it’s gonna be stuck in their head. That’s the point of it. It’s a catchy song.”

I’m not hating on her attempt for trying but If she really wants to succeed, she can probably write music videos for SNL.
