Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa Team Up For High School Movie
Wiz Khalifa and Snoop Dogg have much more in common than getting high. The duo with a pair of green thumbs will join forces for the “comedy stoner movie” titled High School.
The news comes out of last week’s SXSW festivities in Austin, TX where Khalifa revealed the news.
“Me and Snoop are working on a movie, High School,” Khalifa told Rolling Stone. “It should be coming out pretty soon. We’ve got the soundtrack going with it, too, which is a really big deal. It’s basically like me and Snoop’s album; it’s me and him going back and forth on songs the whole time, so it’s a big deal.”
The two rappers in a film about smoking weed instantly brings back memories of Method Man and Redman‘s How High. But this film looks to bridge the gap between two generations of weed smokers.
“It’s about pot, of course. But it’s about mine and his relationship. A spin-off of us being cool in the industry, smoking a lot of weed, being around a lot of weed. We’re going to try to have fun with it and also try to enlighten people at the same time, not just get everybody high.”
Although there are no details regarding the plot, one can assume that there will be lots of humor and a lingering fog of ganja smoke throughout the movie.
The two will begin filming the movie in the first week of May.
In the meantime, both Snoop and Wiz will see their respective albums Doggumentary and Rolling Papers released on March 29th.
