Vado Surprises Harlem School With Performance

Vado (pictured above with radio personality Steph Lova) made a surprise appearance on Friday at the “Showcase for Change” event at the Thurgood Marshall Academy School for Learning and Social Change (TMA) in his hometown of Harlem.

“Showcase for Change” is an entertainment approach to raising awareness about the need for development and ongoing financial support of New York City schools, specifically the TMA music program. Students had the chance to show their skills on stage and receive inspirational messages from America’s Next Top Model Cycle 4 contender Keenyah Hill, poet J. Sharelle, Get Signed Magazine’s E-I-C Mac Millz and film director Noel Calloway.

The room turned into a screamfest when Vado hit the stage to rock out to his single, “Speaking In Tongues.” He also gave insight to the practices that attributed to his success in the music industry, posed for mobile flicks and autographed LRG sponsored towels and stickers.
