Though it may not feel like it, baseball season is upon us. The boys of summer are back in the boogie-down Bronx, and though it feels like winter, the Yankees took their rightful place back on center stage of New York professional sports. CC Sabathia has been the clamor of much off season chatter for his new fitness regimen and subsequent weight loss. Carsten Charles took the mound yesterday for the bombers and pitched a very solid initial outing tossing in six innings, giving up only two earned runs. The story delves much deeper for the sneaker afflicted, however. CC took the mound sporting what looked to be the Air Jordan 11 Concords. If they looked like the storied basketball sneaks, it’s because they were, retro fitted and individually tailored to CC’s specifications. CC is an avid sneakerhead and often has pairs of rare Air Jordans fitted to mound-worthy specs.
