Buzz artist Machine Gun Kelly stars in a hot new video teaser for Black Apple‘s upcoming Spring/Summer 2011 collection:
Twenty-year-old Kelly (born Colson Baker in Cleveland, Ohio) takes his name from George Kelly Barnes, a notorious criminal during the Prohibition era. He released his Lace Up mixtape late last year to rave reviews and is rumored to have recently signed to Bad Boy Entertainment.
According to their mission statement, Black Apple is a collective of designers, artists and musicians who ride the restless energy of New York City to the last stop and forge onto new stations. Started by the makers of Public School (one of the founders, Dao-Yi Chow, is also Sean John‘s longtime creative director) this young men’s brand looks to be the overachievers of their world, toughening the weak and making ugly handsome again.
