Swizz Beatz: “[Reebok & I] Have Made It To Where You Can’t Escape”
“My intentions with everything I do is to make history,” says Swizz Beatz. “I tell people all the time that when I do thing it’s to make history. Yeah, a check could follow and yeah, recognition could follow but to actually make history is my main objective and goal.”
In his Chelsea, New York City studio Swizz recently sat down to explain his groundbreaking “Reethym of Light” Reebok marketing campaign, which involves global TV promo spots, a fun single called “International Party” featuring wife Alicia Keys and a big online, print and radio push. He also talks working with artists like Jay-Z, Bono, Lil Wayne and Lenny Kravitz on his upcoming Haute Living album and making history with brands including Christian Louboutin and Aston Martin.
Swizz Beatz’s Kamikaze sneakers are scheduled to drop on June 1 and Haute Living is due sometime in August.
