The War Of Words Between Prodigy & Capone Heats Up
The war of words between Prodigy and Capone has been heating up ever since Capone took exception to Prodigy calling him a snitch in his new book My Infamous Life.
Prodigy claims Capone once testified in court against Havoc‘s brother Killer Black. He spoke to Complex about the excerpt to clarify why this news is just now getting out into the world.
“People were upset, but that was just one of those things that just never came out. It just never happened. I can’t tell you why,” P said. “I didn’t even want to believe it. None of us wanted to believe it, but that’s what really happened though. We like Capone, and he just did that.”
What’s interesting is that Mobb Deep and Capone-N-Noreaga have worked together in the past. But with this information coming out, rest assured there probably won’t be any Mobb/CNN collaborations on the horizon. As you can imagine, Capone wasted no time letting his feeling be known to Forbez.
Capone Goes In On Prodigy For Calling Him A Snitch! (Act I)
Prodigy hit the radio after the disparaging statements to give his take on Funkmaster Flex‘s show on Hot 97 [listen to the audio here].
“I feel that [Capone] is probably upset because the truth of the matter came out now,” Prodigy said while still calling CNN his “friends.” “He has to take that up with himself at the end of the day…in no way, shape or form was I trying to be disrespectful or to target him or ruin somebody’s career. That wasn’t my intentions at all. My intentions was just to tell the story how it went down and how it is.”
We’ll see how this one plays out.
